‘Madrigal’ 2020 Kinetic Sculpture made for ‘Collect’ Contemporary Art and Design Fair at Somerset House, London- Feb./Mar. 2020

I’m working on the finishing touches of a new kinetic sculpture, commissioned by the Crfats Council UK to be displayed in the West Wing of Somerset House as the centrepiece of the Collect Fair 2020, coming to its new home at Somerset House, from the Saatchi Gallery where it was held last year.

The sculpture consists of hand made, soft edged geometric forms in ceramic, kiln formed glass and natural gourd, supported by a painted steel frame.
The piece, which measures 2 by 2.7 meters, will rotate gently with the aid of a strategically sited air circulation system. It will be hung in the oval alcove in the West Wing of London’s Somerset House. This extraordinary masterpiece of English 18th century architecture will, from this year, be the new home of the prestigious international art and craft fair, Collect, organised by the British Crafts Council. My work is represented by Cavaliero Finn Gallery. Our stand will be at the West Wing Entrance, Room W11.
